Gallery Walk puts a little Heifer Stroll into its step

BRATTLEBORO -- Gallery Walk, Brattleboro’s monthly first Friday celebration of the arts, returns this week to liven up the downtown and a few satellite locations within a short drive of Main Street.
There are 42 listed venues, many with meet-the-artist receptions or live music. The Strolling of the Heifers has taken over the middle block of Main for its annual street festival, but art venues all over the downtown are excited for Gallery Walk patrons to stop by.
New venues this month include The Gathering Place Adult Day Program on Terrace Street, hosting a one-night open house and art exhibit; the Happy Camper Mobile Art Gallery just below Equilibrium on Elm Street; Mia Scheffey’s Gallery East studio; Strange Brew Tattoo; and SEW Arts & Design Studio along Elliot Street, as well as the new Brattleboro History Center at 196 Main St.
Official Gallery Walk hours are 5:30 to 8:30 p.m., although most venues are open earlier and several remain
